Life doesn’t announce itself. You get the promotion. Your friend gets engaged. You realize Tuesday is your mom’s birthday. That’s when you need Spontaneous.
We design arrangements that meet the emotional weight of unscripted moments. Bold pairings. Unexpected colors. Flowers that make people stop and look.
Alex Rivera started Spontaneous in 2018 after working in fashion design. She wanted to bring that sensibility to flowers—unconventional pairings, strategic color work, the idea that a bouquet could be contemporary and still tender.
We don’t do filler. Every stem is intentional. We’re willing to pair dahlias with carnations if the color story is right. We use dried grasses, branches, even air plants. Our work appeals to people who don’t think they like flowers—until they see what we build.
April brings massive garden dahlias we’ve sourced from three local farms. Ranunculus is at peak. We just got shipments of premium garden roses—the kind that smell like actual roses, not the plastic-wrapped grocery-store ones. Hypericum berries are bold and berry-like. We’re playing heavily with eucalyptus variations and dried palm.
We design custom arrangements for ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. Our wedding work tends to modern and slightly unexpected—not traditional florals reimagined, but contemporary design that honors the occasion.
Schedule a consultation to walk through your vision, date, venue, and budget. Alex works with couples to develop a design concept that feels distinctive to them.
